For Warding Off’s (pluvial) summer edition, Monika Dorniak invites you to distract your ears and minds through the enchanting sounds of versatile studio guest Eli Wewentxu. The Mapuche artist's dedication to music began at the age of nine when holding the violin for the first time, and their devoted practice lead them to become a renowned performer of experimental and classical compositions in Berlin and worldwide. In Eli’s compositional work, they aim to deconstruct the Eurocentric approach of music – resulting in fine-tuned, exceptional sounds that get under your skin.
