Radio Calais | Processing Asylum Claims

This episode we are making a case. We are asking why the UK has failed to process asylum claims. We talk to Dr Jo Wilding, Lecturer in Law at the University of Sussex and former barrister from Garden Courts, who specialises in immigration law. Detention in the asylum system has been the focus of previous Radio Calais episodes and we have to go back there because it begins with the failure to process claims. And because of the recent report detailing human rights abuses inside Brook House, Gatwick Airport.
