Living in Mumbai, you either love the rain or hate it. There are weeks when the downpour never stops and the intensity keeps building on.

Every day is accompanied by atmospheric rain sounds, the rumbling low end of the thunder, grey clouds soaking up all the sun and a comfortable gloom sinks in.

Monsoon has always been synonymous with a certain type of music for me. It's hard to describe it by genre but it's this deep sound that brings out a sense of adventure & loneliness.

Listening to music on a rainy day is one of those small joys of life that makes being alive in the present worth it. I'll be bringing my cherished collection of Monsoon music from some of my favorite Indian artists accompanied by a few rainy day stories.
