Daytimers

This instalment of the Daytimers residency stems between the UK and India, with two incredible mixes from Somatic and Coven Code, two pioneers in the scene. Coven Code is a femme collective of DJs and Producers based out of India that works to create space for womxn and queer communities in the nightlife industry. This mix features three of its members: Hiranya, Pia Collada and Lush Lata. Hiranya’s music is heavily influenced by Hindustani classical music and ambient experimental sounds from across the globe. Pia Collada brings in heavy bass and dubstep by Indian producers, with some hip-hop vibes by groups like Rima Dela (Brazil). Lush Lata mixes some upcoming releases on 4NC¥ by Indian beat-makers alongside some heavy bass cuts from her all time favourites. Somatic specialises in the sonic world as a sound artist, producer, DJ, sound engineer and tour manager. Inspired by the Devon landscapes that he grew up in, his versatile practice includes creating electronic music that treads the line between club and home listening, audio for dance and film. His mix takes the listener through an eclectic journey of sounds and emotions from all over the globe.
